1. On the internet, you can search up locations, and see if they are good enough to shoot.
2. One app you could download is Photographers Ephermeris.
3. The biggest problem, is that the foreground and the background seem to be very close together.
4. Shooting with a digital SLR, and using the software Lightroom 6 is another way instead of using HDR.
5. Three things that you could carry would be an umbrella, a raincoat, and a tarp.
6. Arriving 30 minutes before you want to shoot, allows you to know whether or not the landscape changed, or if you end up finding a better thing to shoot.
7. Subject is more important than composition when shooting landscape.
8. First decide which part of the scene is needed, then add other parts to see if they fit in, without taking the focus off the subject.
9. Black and white should be used when there is a heavy, cloudy sky. Also when there are fluffy
clouds in a blue sky.
10. The same scene looks much different in other seasons, weather, or lighting, so you can go back and see how it looks in winter versus summer, rain versus sunny, etc.

Merger Preview
1. The girl in the middle is a too close to the girls on the right, that's one problem I could run into.
2. A great place to take this at Bowie would be either against the lockers.
3. I think a creative thing you could do is be looking at yourself in the photo, so look right and then look left, and then on the other side you look away from yourself, and in the middle you just look at the camera.
4. You could wear either different clothes or the same clothes, or something funny compared to serious. I think it would look the best wearing the same clothes like in the example.

HDR Photographer
1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image?
You have to adjust the Auto Exposure bracketing.
2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image?
A tripod, or something to stabilize.d fff
3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image?
A reason someone might take an HDR photo is because they want to make a very good looking picture, for contests or business plans/commercials.
4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo?
We can expect to see a very good photo with a lot of color, that almost might looked painted or animated.

Stories
1. The judges thought the pictures were not personal enough
2. Each picture is too similar
3. They said there is not enough strong singles
A good thing they said was the picture of the guy sweeping the road. A second good thing they said was they liked the picture of the girl falling over the hurdles and the picture only showing the legs of the opponent.
I thought this photographer was pretty good, they showed a lot of stories and made her message clear in each picture. I liked how she captured moments where the person's face was perfect.

Stories
1. They don't like the picture of the woman holding an abortion sign.
2. They didn't like how much he used little kids in his photos.
3. They didn't like the word she had in some of his photos.
One of the judges liked the weirdness of the cotton candy photo. The judges enjoyed a sports photo of a man jumping for a baseball.
I did not enjoy looking at this photographer's photos, he didn't really ave a message or if he did it was hard to tell what it was supposed to be. What I didn't like, was that he took some photos where I had no idea what I was looking at, or what the min object was.

Stories
1. They did not like the photos with the kids at all.
2. His pictures were too tight sometimes
3.He cut off too much on a lot of photos
The judges liked his picture of the man jumping under the light, they also enjoyed how he had the picture of the girl and the birds.
I thought this photographer was fairly good, some of the photos had too much cut off, others were too tight. I did like how he always had a message I could read in his photos, I knew what the story was.

Biker Story
1. They didn't like the photo of the duck boat at all
2. They don't like how he cut off someones face in a photo, and he's doing it in more than one photo
3. They wished that in one of his pictures, the subjects were moving or doing something not just standing there
They liked how he got the picture of 3 girls jumping for the same ball, they really enjoyed that photo. A second thing they liked was how he got a photo and showed that it was in someone's backyard, and not an actual big deal.
This was my favorite photographer that I watched, he had good photos that all showed a good story, and he just had a lot of very well timed pictures. I thought that he shouldn't have cut off a couple things but other than that everything was great.
Winning Portfolio
A. The strengths the judges noted that he had good angles on some photos, in a picture they liked how everyone was doing something, they also noted how he was close to the subjects in some photos which was good.
B. The strengths I saw were tat the photographer was very creative and had great ideas for pictures. The only weakness I saw was how he photoshopped a couple pictures too much.
C. When the judges are deciding who to be the winner, they discuss with each other strengths and weaknesses of each portfolio, along with how many god photos versus how many bad photos. They also saw how many sports photos were taken compared to others, was it all sports, or was it half and half , or no sports.
Part 2-
A picture I agree with the judges on is a photo of a man with headgear, who looks muddy and dirty. The picture was put in black and white which makes it look a lot better, I really liked this picture and so did the judges.
A photo I do not agree with the judges on is a picture of girl in a little pool, a couple of the judges said it was good but I thought it was a bad picture. It had way too much stuff in the background and foreground, it was hard to tell what I was supposed to be looking at.
